Has Maa made it in time for her doctor’s appointment? Did Papa find a plumber to fix that leaky tap?
Did Aai-Baba get their passports renewed? Living away from the elders you love can often mean living with these questions.
We want to take the burden of those questions away from you.
We’re Onus.
We understand how difficult it can be to live away from the elders you hold so close to your heart. Which is why we want to do our part in making it a little easier for them and for you. By ensuring that no matter where in Mumbai they are, they are well looked after and all their needs are taken care of, in your absence, all in the comfort of their homes.
We’re sure you have questions. So, read on and we’ll try our best to answer them. If you still have queries, do provide us with your contact details. We’ll be happy to answer them for you. And if you know of a friend or a family member who could benefit from our attention and care, do tell them about us and we’ll take care of the rest.
IF YOUR FIRST QUESTION IS
So, What is it that Onus does exactly?
The short answer is that we provide your elderly loved ones with care. And you with peace of mind.
The long answer is that we focus on providing your loved ones with professional and caring assistance. And ensure that they get nothing but the best in terms of healthcare, home maintenance and any other service that they require to live a happy, peaceful and stress-free life. We do this by assigning dedicated staff to your loved ones and by personally overseeing that all their requirements are fulfilled.
While they’re at peace, you can rest easy, too. Because we’ll communicate with you regularly and share periodic updates with you.
IF YOUR SECOND QUESTION IS
What services does Onus provide
IF YOUR THIRD QUESTION IS:
How does Onus go about it?
Here’s the answer: We schedule three visits every month. Through each of these visits, we engage in social interaction with the elders, we scrutinise their household maintenance and figure out what’s required, we get an update on their social engagement calendar, we take care of their requirements in terms of healthcare, banking, provisions and other essentials. Once this is done, we take up the necessary interventions related to any of these, action them, and supervise them till everything’s taken care of. We also provide you with a detailed report after we’re done with our visit.
Once you fill in our enrollment form (you’ll find that right below), we’ll get in touch with you, meet you and the family if you’d like, understand your requirements, discuss our charges, take care of all the documentation and paperwork, and get the ball rolling.
IF YOUR NEXT QUESTION IS:
Who are the founders of Onus?
That would be us. We are Nafisa Thingna and Neeta Asnani. We have a shared passion of doing our bit towards society. Our first-hand experience in assisting our nearest and dearest made us realise the lacuna faced by those who live away from their parents. And that’s how Onus was born.
We’ve spent over three decades in Media and Publishing as senior professionals. Through our journey, we’ve gathered credentials that will go a long way in helping us fulfil our vision for Onus. Like expert managerial skills, organisational capabilities, experience with coaching and mentoring teams and a vast network of business associates coupled with our proficiency in handling CSR activities as well as corporate events and sales for a number of organisations.
Nafisa Thingna
“I know from experience that a part of your heart and your mind is always worrying about your parents. Even with my parents living in the same city as me, it was difficult to manage. My worry only eased when my parents moved in close to me and I could personally make sure that they were taken care of all the time. Neeta and I wanted to do our bit to alleviate that very worry, which I’m sure so many like us feel. That’s how Onus was born.”
Neeta Asnani
“With a lot of my cousins staying abroad, my aunts depend on me for assistance of any kind. So, I have been there, constantly stressing about whether they are fine or not, whether they have everything they need or not, whether they are taken care of or not. Even the smallest things - a router that needs fixing or a bill that needs to be paid - can turn into a big deal. That’s why we decided to start Onus - to reduce that stress.”
AND IF YOUR FINAL QUESTION IS:
How do I sign up?
It’s easy. All it takes is a simple two-step process to get you started.
